The work we do is unexpected, unpredictable and often very rewarding, and we hope that this passes to the owners of the locations we use. With this guide, we hope you will be encouraged to join them. Jamie Lengyel, Location Manager, The King’s Speech

Background
The agency was established in 1995 and many people have worked with us over the years through our representation of famous historical locations belonging to English Heritage and The National Trust.
With the exposure that some of the more high profile work has brought to us, we’ve gathered a vast collection of privately-owned properties across the UK. All styles and all periods.
Many new agencies and screen commission offices have emerged over the past few years - some specialising in specific property types; many who are solely London & M25 orientated and others whose remit is to promote an individual county or region.
We felt the time was right to promote the best locations from across the UK and from one place.
We are independent. We are not funded. We are not sponsored. We are therefore able to provide a non-biased eye of what the UK film & television industry needs for a great location. For several years the promotion of the UK's film locations across Britain has, in many areas, been both ineffective but also highly competitive with many regions often battling against each other to win the next big production. Producers have often been overwhelmed by pitches based on the quantity of ideas rather than quality.
We believe our approach will make it both easier & effective for film companies, tv producers and photographers to find their perfect location regardless of where in the UK they wish to base themselves...
...We also want to do the right thing for all the property owners who have taken the time and effort to contact us from across the UK. We want to be an agency that is committed to them wherever they are based.
There are currently 2000+ properties featured on our website including most of the sites owned by English Heritage and The Landmark Trust. In addition to this we hold info., & images on file of several thousand properties. Do let us know if you would like us to run a search through these for you.
There is no charge made to register a property. For inclusion on our both our internal database and website - please click here http://www.film-locations.co.uk/register-form.htm
We also welcome contact from property groups who are interested in either winning more location work or those that have yet to dip their toes into this area. Filming is a business and we enjoy developing this revenue stream with our clients.
And, as an additional service to the location finders, do email us your location brief and as well as sending you ideas we are also happy to post up your search on our 'currently seeking' section of the website. After our home page, this is our most popular page. Our large audience constantly great, and often new, potential locations.

The Production as a whole would like to thank you for your help in negotiating permission to film both at Eltham Palace and M******ds. I know that Madonna felt both locations were perfect for her sets." Jane Soans, Location Manager, W.E. 90210 Films, Sept 10
