Fast-track
Your location will appear on our website within 30 days. If you require the fast track option which ensures your location will appear within 5 working days, this is available at a cost of £100 + VAT cheques payable to Sarah Eastel Locations.
We will represent you and market your property to the film & photographic industry through our website direct mail campaigns, newsletter promotion, industry representation and PR campaigns.
Sarah Eastel Locations is responsible for:
Negotiation of location hire fee including any security required, staff costs etc
Drafting of location facility contract agreements and securing signatures from both production company and location owner.
Collation of sufficient public liability insurance from the production company.
Fee Collection
SEL will invoice the production company for the facility fee to be paid to the location owner on day of shoot.
Following clearance an invoice will be raised by SEL for commission fee payable by homeowner to SEL.
Earning an Income from your Home
These are the reasons why most property owners register with us as a film location: -
1. Additional income – earning an income from your home through filming can be lucrative, (please see below location fee guidelines)
2. Enhanced Selling Feature - It is incredibly attractive to a potential property purchaser if your property can earn an income.
3. Home owners generally have an interest in the media and enjoy the ability to see
it 'at work'
4. Fantastic fodder for dinner party conversation
5. A very different way to spend a day!
Location Fees
These are guidelines of approximate location facility fees, sensitive properties may require a higher fee to cover costs of security, staffing etc
Feature Film Productions
From £750 - £5,000+ per 12 hour day
Television Dramas
From £500 - £3,000+ per 12 hour day
Documentary filming
from £400 - £1000+ per 12 hour day
Photo shoots
from £300 - £1500+ per 10 hour day
Television Commercials
From £1000 - £3000+ per 12 hour day
Music Videos
From £500 - £3000+ per 12 hour day
The above are rough figures and it's very much down to the detail of the enquiry (how much disruption, length of time on-site, and the overall budget of the production too).
Not all enquiries book for a whole day - many just request a few hours on site (perhaps they're interviewing a contributor for a documentary programme or just have a small time-frame to achieve a photograph).
For shorter shoots it's possible to charge a half day rate or indeed an hourly rate for just 2-3 hours access on site. An hourly rate would generally range from £75.00 - £200.00 per hour for these smaller shoots.
Preparation and re-instatement days are generally charged at between a third and a half of the daily filming rate.
Overtime rates are also charged should the production company overrun and this is set at a pre-agreed hourly rate.

Promotional campaigns we undertake include email location promotions, fortnightly newsletters and PR marketing campaigns.
